ICD-10 Purpose and Uses

Within the healthcare industry, providers, coders, IT professionals, insurance carriers, government agencies and others combine ICD10 codes along with procedure codes to properly note diseases on health records, to track epidemiological trends and to assist in medical reimbursement decisions as well as justify why medical procedures are necessary.

This accelerator can primarily be used for three purposes:

*   Providing ICD 10 code recommendations for billing based on patient chart documentation leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology. The accelerator extracts clinical information and data from the source (typically and EMR), and utilizing NLP, recommends ICD-10 codes for medical reimbursement.
*   Providing the percent probability (the propensity with which insurance companies will pay) the ICD-10 code selected is congruent with and supports the written documentation.
*   Providing the ICD10 code details like code description, inclusions, ExclusionOne & ExclusionTwo for search code

A Natural Language Processing based Accelarator to extracts medical phrases and terms from patients charts to recommend ICD-10 Diagnosis codes, also help for quality checking of existing coded
