The Medicare Coverage Database (MCD) contains all National Coverage Determinations (NCDs) and Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs), local articles, and proposed NCD decisions. The database also includes several other types of National Coverage policy related documents.

CPT codes are used to describe tests, surgeries, evaluations, and any other medical procedure performed by a healthcare provider on a patient. As you might imagine, this code set is extremely large, and includes the codes for thousands upon thousands of medical procedures.

CPT codes are an integral part of the billing process. CPT codes tell the insurance payer what procedures the healthcare provider would like to be reimbursed for.

One of the challenges of working with claims data is insuring that all of the relevant diagnostic and procedure codes have been included.

This accelerator helps for quick search for different CPT codes by providing required search criteria without accessing CMS.gov portal. This connector will be helpful for the process like clinical claims review, prior authorization, utilization management & Same and Similar.

This Accelerator is the real time source for latest procedure code(CPT) information from Medicare Coverage Database (MCD) for national & local coverage determination.
