The default UiPath activity _**Select File**_ only lets you select one file and then passes the path of the selected file to a String in the output.

  

This activity as its name states, allows you to _**select multiple files**_.

  

Once the custom activity is placed the process it will show a Windows Explorer pop up where you can select one or a multitude of files freely.

  

To select multiple files you can use the mouse or _**CTRL+click**_ or _**Shift+Click**_ much like selecting in an ordinary scenario.

  

The _**output**_ of this activity will be a _**datatable**_ that will contain all of the selected files under a _**column named**_ _**File**_, you can then loop through each file path.

Select multiple files from a window pop up and obtain the result in a DataTable with one dataColumn named 'File' that will have the absolute paths of the selected files
