**Open Weather Map API Activities**

Open Weather Map API will provide:

*   Access to current weather data for any location including over 200,000 cities.
*   The current weather is frequently updated based on global models and data from more than 40,000 weather stations.
*   Data available in JSON, XML.

 **Note:**

1) Status code is returned as Integer (Int) and all the inputs and outputs variables are of String Type.

2) ‘Mode’ is an optional input field, default output mode is JSON i.e. Even if the mode field is left empty, we will get a Json response; if the user needs an xml response then update mode value to “xml”.

Get the current or a 5-day weather forecast details in XML or JSON format by providing the city name, county code or zip and county code.
