When interacting with a column in Excel, reading and writing specific rows within a particular column often require a column letter identifier or a column name, combined with a column header row. This activity reduces the effort required to determine which column letter is desired to be used, since the column name from the header row can be passed to the activity to determine the column letter identifier. This also eliminates the need to use an InvokeCode block for this type of activity.

Create or provide an existing Excel Spreadsheet with header columns and data to be read into a DataTable

Using the GetColumnLetter Activity, provide the DataTable from step 1 and the column name to be converted into a column letter

Pass the DataTable and Column Name and get the Column Letter within an Excel Worksheet
