Overview
Close Active Word Document is a custom activity for UiPath to close and save an active Microsoft Word document. An option to close the Word application completely is also available.
Inputs
- DocumentName: Name string (e.g. “Document1.docx” or Document1) of the document if you wish to specify. Leave blank or and blank string (“”) to interact with the currently active Word document.
Options
- CloseApplication: Choose to close the word application, or only close the specified (or currently active) word document.
- SaveDocument: Choose to save the specified (or currently active) word document.
Outputs
- SavePath (this field is only relevant when the SaveDocument option is checked): full file path string of where you wish to the specified (or currently active) word document. Leave the SavePath empty or as a blank string (“”), and the document will be closed in it's current location. IMPORTANT - This must be a FULL file path string (e.g. C:\Users\GreatPlayer\Documents\Projects\Document1.docx). If the word document is new and has never been saved before, use a FULL file path string.
